it's hard to imagine that everything started with just one "dot"...from one dot...hop to another...then another...and another in a chain of dots that seems to go on and on until, looking back, we see a "cellular cascade."

if a dot represents a day, and a chain of dots reveals our marking of weeks, months, years, and decades...only in looking back over a lifetime can we see the BIG pattern, the "cellular cascade" that was hidden in the individual dots of our life.


what is it like hopping from dot to dot, from day to day...what is the feeling of the FLOW of life...do you feel a connection between the dotted days as they chain together over time...what might the imagery of a "cellular cascade" suggest?

 

are there practices that help you "hop" mindfully from one dot to another, from one day to another...things that nourish your mind, body, and spirit? 

sleep is often the transition or hop from one day to the next...take a reflective look at your "getting ready for sleep routine"...how much time do you take to wind down the day in preparation for sleep...what kinds of activities mark the period before sleep...suggestions:

lower the lights, ideally using a timer that gradually lowers the intensity of illumination

decrease or eliminate blue screens

shake out any leftover bodily tension (literally shake it out, or try yoga, stretching, or qigong...)

build your concerns into a flexible plan for the next day complete with relaxation breaks

take stock and process the day via journaling and counting gratitudes/blessings

meditate and/or pray


start with one thing and add another as you feel inclined to...create your own rituals...and hop mindfully from one dot to the next...
