WITHIN THE EGG


hidden in colors

within the swirling egg shape

is the holy name


Many life forms, including use, begin hidden within the egg...a flash of light at conception inside the egg is recorded by scientists...this light can be thought of as the divine spark, and in the depiction below, the holy name. The egg symbolizes the birthplace of life and spiritual transformation. The practice of mantra prayer is an aid to this birthing and transformation, and it's practice is deceptively simple: choose a holy name, repeat the name silently (and/or chant the name aloud), and when distracted, return to the holy name for as long as one chooses. One can use the holy name for transforming emotions, repeating the name when noting negative emotions, using the energy of the emotion to fuel the repetition of the name...this is not suppression but transformation. 2 CIRCLES from the 2 circles touching and overlapping reality births from the 2 comes the many, from male and female comes new life, from thesis and antithesis comes synthesis...the touching and overlap seems to facilitate new birth(s) at the intersection of the circles, the vortex, the vesica piscis, the mandorla (almond), the portal of new life... consider 2  vital ideas/parts of yourself...meditate on how the parts/ideas overlap, interrelate, connect...open...look/sense the portal of new life emerging...what implications does this have for being and doing?
