ECTOSKETCH ectosketch spirals meet the interior frame of infinity t he red framed "etch a sketch" is a drawing/doodling device that was first available for purchase around 1960, having two white knobs that controlled a graphite type line on the screen which could be erased by shaking the screen and beginning anew...the spriograph was another device consisting of a frame with teetch on the inside and plastic circular pieces with teeth on the outside that connect and swirl around the inside of the frame to create different geometrical shapes...hence the play on "ecto sketch" as a combination of the above... the contact between the inside of the outer frame and the inner part of the circle create spirals of infinite variety approaching mandala status in what ways are the outer boundaries and circumstances of our lives in contact with our inner motivations and intentions...are we creating beautiful spirals that bring meaning,  purpose, joy, and enliven our lives and tho...

ORANGE EYES orange eyes look out 3rd eye and mouth rays connect crazed enlightenment yellow rayss around the 3rd eye and mouth connected by orange rectangle and surrounded by two orange eyes with the green triangular nostrils...the senses come together in a "crazed enlightenment" stop...drop in,...and listen to all the senses...eyes, ears, tongue, nostrils...let the felt sense of them come together in the 3rd eye region...maybe you'll experience a sensorial taste of enlightenment

AHEEOHKULA what creature is this? masked behind the strange colors aheeohkula brown outline of a mask, blue thick eyebrows, gold orbs encircled with red eyes, brown and red nose, green and blue mouth area, and black curved stripes on both sides of cheeks...Aheeohkula is the name of the being...a variation of ahee in Navaho means "thank you" while kula means community or tribe (it is also a place in Hawaii), the word "oh" joins thanks with tribe, perhaps indicating gratitude for being part of a tribe. consider what "masks" we wear in our lives, like roles of parent and child, teacher and student, manager and worker, leader and follower, coach and player, doctor and patient, and so forth...if you attempted to combine the masks into one drawing, would it look like aheeohkula?

BLUE SHAMROCK-CLOVER-CROSS blue shamrock-clover from the heart moving outward to smaller circles do you see the white shamrock-clover encompassing the blue shamrock-clover at center? from the heart of the blue shamrock-clover extends four curved lines that lead out to large droplets of blue which are also encompassed by larger white droplet, after which things start to reduce in size, smaller and smaller, with purple circles edging around the entire system. often we think of shamrocks and clovers as green in color, but here they are depicted as blue and white...what effect does color have on your feeling-interpretation of the shamrock-clover? consider a strong symbol in your everyday life and change its color...how does the change in color impact your feeling about the symbol...break down the symbol into parts...what do the parts reveal...is it holographic, or do the parts represent something else that when assembled reveal the symbol...could it be that EVERYTHING represents parts of s...

BLUE BEINGS hidden inside of triangles and little suns 2 strange blue beings the little suns inside the triangles are light within bounded edges...the 2 blue beings are at the top and bottom of the figure, blue the color of mind, observing, watchful of the sunshine energies, perhaps directing them with their attention. what are the triangles in your life (complex forces/energies bounded together)...what ray of sunshine exists within these triangles that might enlighten their boundedness...how might the blue beings help you discover how to coordinate the different energies/forces for health, healing, and wholeness?

NADIS crazy maze of dots moving in and spreading out bodily nadis nadi in Sanskrit can be translated as stream, tube, or pipe...Sanskrit texts suggest there are 72K nadi pathways throughout the physical body describing energy flows...when i began drawing this mandala, all i saw was a "crazy maze of dots," reminding me of how life can be a crazy maze of dots...the dots could represent experiences, habits, relationships, situations...filling in areas around the dots felt like movement in and spreading out...stepping back and observing i saw nadi pathways in the body. how would you define your life as dots...would they run in a series, logically, like the march of days or years...would they appear randomly with seemingly no connection between them...would they cluster in different shapes, representing different parts of your personality or life...once you draw your life as dots, is there anything you would change, either by subtracting or adding dots or other images...we have th...
