BLUE SHAMROCK-CLOVER-CROSS blue shamrock-clover from the heart moving outward to smaller circles do you see the white shamrock-clover encompassing the blue shamrock-clover at center? from the heart of the blue shamrock-clover extends four curved lines that lead out to large droplets of blue which are also encompassed by larger white droplet, after which things start to reduce in size, smaller and smaller, with purple circles edging around the entire system. often we think of shamrocks and clovers as green in color, but here they are depicted as blue and white...what effect does color have on your feeling-interpretation of the shamrock-clover? consider a strong symbol in your everyday life and change its color...how does the change in color impact your feeling about the symbol...break down the symbol into parts...what do the parts reveal...is it holographic, or do the parts represent something else that when assembled reveal the symbol...could it be that EVERYTHING represents parts of s...

S H A P E S different colors alternating light and dark form and function meet are these different colored shapes: energies of different people energies of different personalities inner parts of an individual chakra energy vortexes or something else? while different in form, the alternating light and dark pattern is a function common to each shape, like the alternating of yin and yang, of slow and fast, of dark and light... which of the shapes do you most resonate with right now? what insight can you gain from the color, pattern, and alternating light and dark parts of the shape? can you move any of this into behavioral action today?

BLUE BEINGS hidden inside of triangles and little suns 2 strange blue beings the little suns inside the triangles are light within bounded edges...the 2 blue beings are at the top and bottom of the figure, blue the color of mind, observing, watchful of the sunshine energies, perhaps directing them with their attention. what are the triangles in your life (complex forces/energies bounded together)...what ray of sunshine exists within these triangles that might enlighten their boundedness...how might the blue beings help you discover how to coordinate the different energies/forces for health, healing, and wholeness?

NADIS crazy maze of dots moving in and spreading out bodily nadis nadi in Sanskrit can be translated as stream, tube, or pipe...Sanskrit texts suggest there are 72K nadi pathways throughout the physical body describing energy flows...when i began drawing this mandala, all i saw was a "crazy maze of dots," reminding me of how life can be a crazy maze of dots...the dots could represent experiences, habits, relationships, situations...filling in areas around the dots felt like movement in and spreading out...stepping back and observing i saw nadi pathways in the body. how would you define your life as dots...would they run in a series, logically, like the march of days or years...would they appear randomly with seemingly no connection between them...would they cluster in different shapes, representing different parts of your personality or life...once you draw your life as dots, is there anything you would change, either by subtracting or adding dots or other images...we have th...

CIRCLING circling inside circles mesmerizing me to be a flower caught up going around in circles...mesmerizing me in the loopiness of the pattern...only in time do i realize part of me morphed into a flower observe any repetitive behavioral pattern of yours over the course of time...identify what flower you've become...is it beautiful, does it serve you, help others?

EFFORTLESSLY the color you think becomes the color you see so effortlessly something mesmerizes me when i look at the image below...the squares and triangles join in dynamic ways that bring me into a spiraling feeling...of colors... the blending of colors provides an opportunity for a simple experiment...think about one of the colors in the image (violet, green, red, or purple), and while holding the color in your mind, softly gaze at the image, what do you see?  do you not see the color you're thinking about...does the color stand out as the figure against the ground of the other colors... for fun, switch to thinking about another color and see what happens... similarly, when we use words, our perceptual filters bring whatever meanings/emotions/experiences connected to that word into sharper focus as a figure against the ground of the rest of our life... AND, we get to CHOOSE how we want to color our world.

PERTLE TURSON person or turtle if both, what shall we name it? pertle or terson? sometimes when i create mandalas, i flow with the instrument without a intent to create a specific "thing"...at the end of creating, i step back and gaze, most often i recognize something...in the mandala below, i saw a person first, and then a turtle...so which is it, a person or a turtle...setting up an either/or question like this creates a forced choice, but it need not be so...it can be "both/and"...it is person and turtle, a pertle or turson (combining parts of both words)...this creative process reminds me of the old Greek idea of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis...taking two different things and combining them into a synthesis. what decision have you constructed as an either/or proposition...can you step back, gain some perspective, and see the situation as both/and rather than either/or...perhaps a synthesis of the best of both options, creating a third integrative option.

TORNADOES vibrations blowing  pushing the purple half-moons whipping up tornadoes at the time of the haiku writing, the fall semester had just begun...VIBRATIONS blowing from all fronts...student advisees, issues with classes, committee assignments, research revisions for an article, getting into the academic routine...these vibes are PUSHING the beautiful and fragile purple half-moon ideas and activities that have bloomed in late spring and summer, WHIPPING up emotional tornadoes within me... are there vibrations in your life that blow you off course, off of the intuitive purple moon vibes, whipping up tornadoes (or perhaps smaller "dust devils") within you? if so, what are you doing about it? my ideal, that slowly deteriorates over the course of the semester with more and more tasks piled on my plate, is to integrate some of the purple moon vibes into my daily routine so that i don't loose the precious purple moon beams that allow the extraordinary flowers of life to bl...

RIBBONS ribbons of color emerging from the center  of life, light, and love beginning with crisscrossing lines, deepening the lines, shading the lines, allowing the colors to emerge as ribbons...dynamic, dancing, turning, twisting, and blowing in the breeze of the spirit...embedded and evolving from the center point of life, light, and love...three core spiritual values that foster meaning, significance, and purpose. when contemplatively gazing (a long, loving, leisurely look) at the center of your life, what do you find...feel the depth of life, light, and love...let this life, light, and love flow into the outer regions of your being as dancing ribbons of multi colors...as the poet Ric Maston says, "let it be a dance we do"!

PINBALL WIZARDRY spherical eyeballs bumping into each other pinball wizardry how many eyeballs can you see...why are they bumping, touching, grinding, nudging each other...something magical in this pinball wizardry is happening eyeballs provide different perspectives...cover one eye and look...what do you see...cover the other eye and look out, different, yes...imagine another pair of eyeballs looking out at the "same scene" with all the history, memories, habits, beliefs, and expectations attached to those eyes...eyes beams bounce, reflect, and merge into each other...pinball magic...who/what wizard orchestrates this music and dance?
