for our entire lives, we breath,...in and out...about 6-12 times a minute, depending on our circumstances and mind-body connection...ancient wisdom suggests that chakras are energy vortexes that spin throughout our bodies...here the chakras are depicted as colored balls...continuously changing, adjusting, balancing...our breath can assist or crack this healthy balancing of energies.


practice: note how you're feeling on a scale of 0-10, with 10 being a state of optimal well-being...then observe yourself while taking 3 conscious breaths seated or standing comfortably with eyes closed...inhale to whatever count feels comfortable and exhale about twice as long...check in with yourself at the end of the 3 breath cycle...re-evaluate on the 0-10 well being scale...compare this number with the first number...did the conscious breathing nudge you in the direction of well-being (a higher number)...if so, then incorporate this simple and short 3 breath practice into daily life...consder what makes sense for you as a reminder/sign post to take 3 conscious breaths (e.g., each time you turn on a light switch, each time you urinate, each time you drink something or eat something, before bed, upon rising...).
