3 books for cultivating 

a beautiful life


SONG is an acronym that represents 4 interrelated life contexts: self (S), others (O), nature (N), and Goddess-God-the Divine (G). There are many life SONG's within these 4 contexts, 3 of the more important being: listening, love, and peace. 

I teach undergraduate upper level college courses in each of these subjects: (1) Listening to the SONG of Life, (2) Communicating Love, and (3) Nonviolent Communication and Peace. My intention is to write a book that represents the best in each of the courses, emphasizing practical skills that one may cultivate. There are MANY practices for cultivating listening, love, and peace that i share with students in my college classes...a simple practice that emphasizes the self (S) context for the 3 areas of listening, peace, and love is to look directly into your eyes in a mirror and say aloud with emotional intensity: "i really love you (love), i will listen to your feelings and needs, validate the feelings and meet the needs (listening), and i wish you peace of mind, body, and spirit (peace).

2 CIRCLES from the 2 circles touching and overlapping reality births from the 2 comes the many, from male and female comes new life, from thesis and antithesis comes synthesis...the touching and overlap seems to facilitate new birth(s) at the intersection of the circles, the vortex, the vesica piscis, the mandorla (almond), the portal of new life... consider 2  vital ideas/parts of yourself...meditate on how the parts/ideas overlap, interrelate, connect...open...look/sense the portal of new life emerging...what implications does this have for being and doing?
