CYCLING IMAGES

there are many ways

to cycle one's images

playful practice key

cyclying images is part of a healing method called the Bengston method named after William Bengston and his many experiments of healing mice with cancer published in peer review journals (he also heals and has taught others to heal people, but these are anecdotal cases since it would be unethical to put people into randomized clinical controls for healing or not). The cycling part of the method involves listing 20+ personal selfish desires/wishes, providing an image or word for each, and then cycling thorough them, building up speed until they blur together into a feeling...for practice, one can place the images on a film strip, the hand positions of a clock, an old fashioned rolodex, a powerpoint slide presentation, or a spinning paper plate (i've tried all of them).

if interested in this healing method, obtain Bengston's set of audio training cd's from Sounds True and try out the method for yourself...i haven't had much success, but i haven't figured out a good way to test the method and i gave up after only a month of trying, so i plan to revisit the method this summer and try again...he said it takes time to develop the hang of it, and one must be playful about it (something that doesn't come easy for me).
