Haiku Ellipses...Invitation...Response...

LAZY OVALS lazy ovals dance with the chicken pocked center backup...a flower! i remember having the chickenpox as a youngster and soaking in the tub followed by Mom rubbing chamomile lotion all over the pox to lessen the itching... when in the thick of things, it's hard to "backup" and see a bigger picture...whenever i feel ill, consciousness shifts and it's difficult to think clearly (for me), a sort of "lazy oval dance" comes over me, and backing up to see the flower of life is something i often need help with. are you able to "backup" when in the thick of things? what kinds of practices help you "backup" and see a bigger picture? if you are able to backup, can you see the flower(s) in your life? if you can't see them, can you smell, feel, or taste them? wishing you many connections with the flowers in your life, both in and out of the thick of things.

CURVY STICKS from the white center  flow multitude of colors curvy pick up sticks remember playing pick up sticks as a kid? those straight pointed eight inch wooden sticks that fall into a pile...removing one by one without moving the others...in this image, the sticks curve outward to form a pattern resembling a rainbow flower in bloom...similarly, our "to do" list and plans may look relatively "straightforward" (like the straight sticks in the game), but when it comes to the reality of living, the plans often take unforseen curves, taking us to places we didn't expect...sometimes feeling like the right move, sometimes not, but always part of the journey. do you feel like some of your plans have taken a curve instead of moving on the straight path you envisioned...if you step back from the immediate plans and look at the bigger picture, can you see the multi-colored flower that is blooming from the pure white center of energy, information, and love?

ORBITING orbiting colors begin at the central nest fly along the shells something atomic, electrons, protons, neutrons, glueons, nuclei, orbits...it all begins at the central nest...activities fly along the shells that orbit the nest, sometimes flying off to join others, sometimes combining, expanding, collapsing, flying... Gorden MacKenzie's book Orbiting the Giant Hairball  suggests that hairballs start with the entanglement of two hairs, and then it grows until it is a giant hairball (an organizational structure with set rules)...one challenge is to escape the ridgidness of the hairball by lifting off from it and orbiting it, staying only close enough to obtain the resources we need to engage in our creative work...flying around the nest but never stuck in the nest. What kind of nest are you excessively comfortable in, one that you don't want to leave...don't want anything to change...consider what might happen if you jumped out of the nest, spread your wings, and tried ...

5 DIAMONDS the 5 pointed star connected at the 5 points reveals 5 diamonds 5-5-5...5 points, 5 connections, 5 diamonds between the points of the star are connecting points that reflect back to the body of the star...by connecting ALL the points, the diamond shapes are revealed... sometimes, we go about our life work "connecting" things, not realizing that, in the process, we are making diamonds, beautiful, spectacular, wonderful diamonds. what kinds of things are you "connecting"...people, places, skills, resources...? know that in the connections beautiful diamonds are emerging...they may already be there if you step back and observe with fresh eyes...
